Why High Impact?

If you ask 10 people what the definition of coaching is -you would get 10 different answers. From our past experience with sport coaches, mentors or trusted allies, we tend to create our own definition of coaching... and chances are, pieces of those experiences will show up in a coaching relationship.

My "High Impact" definition of coaching is:

"A communication style which facilitates learning and growth by unlocking the potential for maximum performance".
It is empowering.
It focuses on your strengths and talents while simultaneously, minimizing the self-limiting beliefs and obstacles that prevent you from reaching your goals.
If we stick to the car analogy-it is letting your strengths drive -and your doubts hang out in the trunk!

Coaching is a relatively new profession -and evolving rapidly. More businesses are bringing in coaches to work with top performers, leaders and influencers to drive business results and positively affect the climate and culture of an organization. Gone are the days where having a coach meant you needed to "fix" something. Now, it is the ultimate symbol of recognition -that you are someone to invest and nurture for long-term business performance.

The International Coaches Federation (ICF) is the professional association of personal and business coaches that seeks to preserve the integrity of coaching around the globe. I am accredited through this organization. To learn more about the ICF definition of coaching and guidelines, please visit: http://www.coachfederation.org/eweb
